Special Olympics New Zealand
After the craziness that was 2020, we’re happy to be making our first donation of 2021.
We put the call out to the local community to get some ideas as to where they thought the money should go and we had some great suggestions.
Special Olympics Mana came up a few times, and it was an easy choice for the $500 donation, which will help them continue the amazing work supporting and training local athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Special Olympics New Zealand has grown from four swimmers in 1983 to the over 6,000 athletes it serves today in NZ, so if you would like to support them donations can be made here: https://specialolympics.org.nz/get-involved/donate/
Thanks again to the parents and kids of Porirua that play the basketball game down at Awesome Bounce which allow us to make these donations.
We have some more machines going on location this year which will allow us to make more donations, so stay tuned.
