Who should we support?

Coindrop has just kicked off, and so we put a call out to the people of Porirua as to who should receive our first donation. We had huge engagement from so many people with many suggestions.

One name that kept coming up though was Chrissy Leggott AKA Chrissy’s All for free.

Chrissy has setup & manages many different services for the people of Porirua, including All for free where people can pick up donated goods including clothes, furniture and toys at no cost. She also has a Community Kai Cupboard where food items can be had for free. If that wasn’t enough she also organises food parcels, community get togethers and school lunches!

Coindrop are super proud to be able to provide a small financial bump for Chrissy and all that she is doing for the community. Chrissy isn’t a registered charity so isn’t able to get any government grants or financial assistance commonly available to charities.

Chrissy requested $250 of Countdown vouchers & $250 of Pak & Save vouchers which she will use to purchase food items for food parcels and a ‘Monday munchies’ school lunch programme she’s kicking off next year.
